Today was a very interesting and exciting day. Visiting the Skoda factory and museum was a behind the scenes experience in automotive manufacturing. I was very surprised to see how advanced Skoda’s manufacturing capabilities are. The factory was extremely automated with robots being used to do all of the heavy lifting to reduce errors and make sure humans do not have to carry extremely heavy pieces. The factory logistics were also very precisely planned with each worker on the line having a specialized role to make sure the factory produces cars as efficiently as possible. It was a very innovative system that I would not have imagined unless seeing the factory tour.
Furthermore to reflect on this week of travel there definitely has been peaks and pits. A peak has definitely been the experience in general, getting to explore Europe for the first time with an awesome group of people; Seeing the sights, trying new foods and sharing laughs. However, a pit has definitely been the exhaustion. I definitely was not expecting to feel this tired everyday. It is very difficult to find time to catch up on sleep and even if I get sleep my body still feels extremely tired. Nevertheless, we still make the most out of the day and try to maximize our free time in the evenings as much as possible.
