Swanson School of Engineering

I really loved CEZ more than I expected! They seem to be a super advanced and modern company, and had a lot of cool little additions like the 3D movie. Going in the mines was not only super fun but also super insightful to some engineering disciplines that I am less knowledgeable on. It seems that in places like Czech, environmental problems from things such as coal mines are considered more than in the United States in some aspects, but also less in others. It’s definitely a topic I would enjoy looking more into, but our guide mentioned that the mines were environmentally alright, where I couldn’t see an American guide even mention the environmental effects. On some other hands though, I do think the US has been emphasizing the importance of environmental impact more recently.
