The day started very early today with a meeting time of 6:45, however it was completely worth it because we were going to LEGO! We visited the The LEGO factory, where we got to see the process of how LEGO bricks are specially painted, separated by piece, and then loaded into sub-packing before being boxed and shipped out.

One of the most interesting parts of the visit was seeing how automated the entire process was. Machines and workers constantly worked together to make sure the correct pieces were sorted and packaged properly. I never realized how much precision goes into making LEGO pieces, especially since every brick has to fit together perfectly no matter where or when it was made. It was also interesting to see how quickly the line moved while still maintaining quality control throughout the process.

One engineering skill I saw in action today that I would like to improve myself is attention to detail. Even a small mistake in sorting or packaging could affect an entire LEGO set. The visit made me realize how important precision and teamwork are in manufacturing, especially when producing products on such a large scale.
This skill was further emphasized during the brownfield redevelopment visit, where an old train station was being transformed into multiple buildings, schools, and housing units. It was interesting to see how much planning, coordination, and attention to detail are required when redesigning an older space into something modern and functional for the community.
