Today we had 3 main events. Those were the Cold War Museum, a company visit to Skoda, and going to the AC Sparta Praha vs. FC Viktoria Plzen.

In the museum we learned about the secret operation the Soviets had underneath a hotel. They would spy and get compromising pictures of the foreigners. This operation lasted from 1959s to 1989.

Then, we visited Skoda. We started off in the factory where we were able to see many industrial engineering concepts such as just-in-time, andon, and signage. We weren’t able to take pictures in the factory but I loved it. After, we went to  the museum to see the transformation of the Skoda cars through the years.

Lastly, we went to the AC Sparta Praha vs. FC Viktoria Plzen soccer game. It was very fun seeing the fans signing and chanting the whole game even if it ended 0-0. They showed a lot of passion for the game which I really liked.

When traveling, it can be hard at times when dealing with jet lag, a strict schedule, and not a lot of free time. Whenever I get frustrated or my spirits are a little of, I remember that this is a great opportunity and I haven’t experienced anything like it. There’s so much we’ve done and seen in so little time. So if you are worried about this or you can relate, remember that you are only in Prague for two weeks! Make the most of it; you’ll have time to sleep when you get home.

PSA: The coffee and Panna Cotta from the Skoda’s coffee shop was SO good.
