Started the day off with a train ride followed by a thirty minute walk to the Karlštejn Castle. We passed by a small town up the hills filled with cafe shops and souvenirs. Th exterior has a gothic architecture style. We had tour 1 which meant that we explored the private headquarters of Charles IV. There was a room for Charles IV himself which meant that during medieval times married couples had separate bedrooms. Additionally, I saw the different portraits of Bohemian kings along with a dining table. It was also interesting to see the wardrobe of what the kings would wear during the time period. I thought that the St. Wenceslas Crown was fascinating to see as a crown jewel safekeeped by Charles IV and the story behind it that only the king can wear it when coronated or whoever else wears it gets cursed with death after a year as shown with Reinhard Heydrich.

Lastly, we ended the day with a farewell dinner at cruise on the Vltava River. It was a little cold and wet out but the top floor outside had really beautiful views of the city. I took a good amount of pictures of the Charles Bridge lit up at night and saw the Dancing House. Overall, it was a really beautiful conclusion to the two weeks spent here and being able to get a recap of some places visited while on the cruise.

Out of the all the days so far this has been the record high number of steps per day of almost 30,000 steps. Well this has felt like a long but exciting journey. I am glad that I got to experience all of what Prague has to offer and I hope that I can someday visit again!
