First Pitt group to ever do it , a LEGO production factory trip. Once walking into the building we were warned that pictures are strictly prohibited. The reasons consisted of not wanting competitors to steal their strategic step by step process. Let’s dive into that process. Our first stop in the factory was a long line of women sitting down putting in legos into a mold by hand. This is was a surprise since LEGO’s production is so big that it didn’t seem like there would be this much human intervention. Every stop from there was ultimately quality checking and human to robot handling. LEGO focuses on quality of their product, hence the 3000 employees in one factory.
