Swanson School of Engineering

We started our last day by taking a trip to the Karlštejn Castle. We climbed up the huge hill and were greeted by a castle upon the top of it. We followed a guided tour where our tour guide told about the history of the castle and a lot about King Charles IV. The architecture was quite intriguing as when this was built they did not have the tools we have today in a similar type of construction. Walking up the hill was a great experience as it showed how hard and tiring it was to even reach the castle let alone infiltrate it with the large walls surrounding it. We are soon leaving to have dinner on our river cruise which will be a bitter sweet moment as this will be the last time we see each other for some students. I have loved this trip and am happy to celebrate it once more tonight all as a group.
