Today morning were the final few hours of our program. Looking back on the past two weeks, I realize now that we did so much! It’s hard to remember all the details without going back through my camera roll, but I can honestly say that I am very satisfied with how this trip went. We visited so many interesting companies and cultural locations that I feel like we covered most of what there is to do in Prague. Being exposed to different approaches of engineering in the Czech Republic has taught me that there really is no best way to do things. Throughout my stay in Prague, I’ve seen people come up with solutions to problems that I would’ve never thought about. For example, when we visited the old Prague waste water management system, I was surprised to see all the intricate phases of the operation they used to go from dirty to clean water. I also enjoyed learning about the different perspectives of my fellow students as we all come from different engineering backgrounds. I will say, although I enjoyed being in Prague, I probably enjoyed the people who were with me more, including our kind faculty, Dr. Sacre and Kaitlyn Washko, and our knowledgeable guide Jana! Building new friendships that I can bring back with me to Pittsburgh and beyond has been such a joy and I’ll forever cherish these past two weeks. Honestly, this trip couldn’t have been more perfect.
And thank you to Alicia Olalde and everyone else who made this trip possible!
This is Suhaas, signing off for the final time.
