The program ended yesterday morning, but I’m staying until tomorrow afternoon. In my time off, I did a lot of walking around. I’ve already hit most of the main tourist attractions, so I’ve been spending my free time exploring the neighborhoods just outside the main city area and parks. Yesterday, I went up to the Metronome and then walked through the Palace Gardens. The weather has been beautiful with lots of sunshine, and the gardens may be some of the best I’ve seen. I went up to the Prague Castle around 9pm, and it was so empty but beautiful. Today I visited Vyšehrad Castle and went to the zoo with some peers who also stayed on.

There’s been a ton to do these past two weeks, so I’m excited to go home and relax a bit but also sad to leave such a beautiful city. I’m so grateful to have gone on this trip with such great people. Everyone in the program made it so much fun. I’ve been thinking about what I’ve learned the most. I think it’s just the experience of living in another place that has been most impactful, and that’s hard to put into words. I was on the fence about doing this program originally, but I’m glad that I did and will be able to carry these memories with me. Biggest advice for visiting Prague is to not try the chimney cake.
