I cannot believe the day has come but today is our last day in Prague. Our day started off by traveling to Karlštejn to see the famous Karlštejn Castle. This is where King Charles IV would keep his crown jewels and since it was built on top of a hill and surrounded by forests, it gave natural protection and a strong defensive advantage. Our tour guide informed us that the castle had never been successfully captured.

On our way up to the castle we had to make a treacherous hike up a hill, but it was beautiful to see the small town that surrounded it. We went into a small bakery where no one spoke a word of English but through gestures, broken Czech, and lots of laughs we were able to understand each other which I thought was beautiful.

At night, when we returned to Prague, we celebrated our last night together with a dinner cruise. It was bittersweet to see the city for one last time with everyone. I hope to return to Prague one day with a whole new perspective and understanding of the city!
