After completing this trip, all of the sights we’ve seen, and places we’ve traveled to, I think the biggest misconception I had about the Czech Republic was that Prague wasn’t very big and common for students to travel to. I’ve always heard of people studying abroad in big cities like Barcelona and Florence, and before this program I had never met anyone who had studied abroad specifically in Prague. Just because I don’t know many people who have traveled to Europe to come to Prague or studied abroad in Prague, I formed the misconception that it wasn’t a really big city or as common for students but this ended up being entirely false. Prague ended up being an enormous city and had very similar aspects and size compared to the big cities in Europe which I thought would be different and larger than Prague. There were also many local universities and I really enjoyed spending time with the local student we were paired with for an activity. In addition to the local universities and students, there were hundreds of students studying abroad from other universities. While we had two full weeks to explore Prague and see as much as possible, there was still so much to do and there wasn’t a time where we couldn’t think of something that someone wanted to do while here.
