We started our day at 6:45 am in the lobby. From there, our first stop was at the Lego Company. In this visit we saw the production it takes from placing an order to shipping it. It was rewarding seeing the concepts that I learn in the classroom in a big scale manufacturing plant. I was surprised by how automated and precise the production process was. It was interesting seeing how fast the machines worked while still keeping such high quality standards. Then, we went to Brownsfield. An old industrial rail and warehouse area. Here we talked with the architecture and engineer who are in charge of the future redevelopment plans for the site. It was very intriguing all the planning and attention to detail that goes into it before even starting the production. Lastly, we did a ghost tour through Prague’s Old Town, where we heard stories and legends while walking through the historic streets of the city. Even though today was a long day, we had a good mix of engineering, society, and culture.
