After learning about them and observing some works, we finally got to experience the fresco workshop. For my takeaways, I feel I was given a better understanding of how this art it made. The class started with information on the chemistry behind how the plaster and pigments are affected throughout the time making the fresco. After that we got to start trying to make our own based on a picture given to us. It was very complex and hard to do at first, but I feel that I took away a lot about art while trying to replicate the example. I was given some help in how to shade properly and started to understand how to add depth to my art I was trying to make. I thought it was a great experience overall and would highly recommend for students in the future to experience it.
