Making art versus viewing it are astronomically different things. Just the other day, I was taught this lesson. I had the opportunity to make my own fresco, an art that utilizes engineering and creativity. Although I didn’t actually make my own chemical formula for the fresco we studied, the whole process behind it and in the creative process afterward. Being a part of that process will always stay with me; it really showed me there’s a world different from what you might expect. It’s truly a whole concept I never thought about. Still, the other half was left for me to do, actually making the art. Let’s just say there’s a reason why I’m in STEM and not the arts!
